History
The James C. Fletcher, Jr.
Council No. 11422 Charities is a 501(c)3 organization which was
incorporated in June, 2008. This entity is separate from council
operations, but every council member is automatically a member of the
501(c)3. One can donate funds to the corporation and write the donation
off his taxes. The major beneficiaries are scholarship recipients. James
Vidale is the chairman of the 501(c)3 organization.
The JCF Charities is managed by a Board of Directors who
shall be elected by the members of the James C. Fletcher, Jr. Council, No. 11422
of the Knights of Columbus. The Board consists of five members, one of whom
shall be the Grand Knight of the Council. The terms of office for the
charities shall be two years. Notice of the elections of the Board must be sent
to all council members in good standing.
